Local Folder Integration

Use your locally stored media files faster and more securely!

Overview

Manage scattered media files across different websites in one place with ease.

By connecting folder from your local computer, the files inside can be commonly accessed and used across multiple WordPress sites.

  • Fast: Media access and transfer speed are outstanding since processing happens directly on your computer instead of a slow server environment.

  • Secure: Files are handled locally, so tasks can be performed without external transfers, ensuring stronger security.

  • Convenient: Once registered, the folder can be accessed through the side menu on any site, enabling centralized resource management.

Integrate a Local Folder

Open Modal

  • The Local Media section is located at the bottom of the media side menu.

  • Click the button to open the folder registration modal.

Enter folder information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Folder name: The name displayed in the UI folder list

  • Folder path: Select the folder path on your computer

  • Description (optional): A short description of the folder

Complete registration

Once completed, the registered folder will be displayed consistently across all WordPress sites, making media sharing and management between sites much easier.

Adding Media to a Local Folder

  • When downloading media, select the registered local folder as the save location, and the files will automatically be stored in that path. Media Transfer & Download

  • Alternatively, even if you add files directly to the folder on your computer (without using the UI), RightPlace will automatically fetch and display all media.
