Why does macOS say RightPlace can't be opened?
On first launch macOS may say it cannot check RightPlace for malicious software. Here is how to open it safely.
On first launch, macOS may show a message like:
RightPlace Core can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This is expected for this build, and the app is safe to open. You only need to do this once.
Open it with Terminal
After moving RightPlace Core to your Applications folder, open Terminal and run this command once:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/RightPlace Core.app"
Then open RightPlace Core normally.
Prefer not to use Terminal?
Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, and scroll down to the Security section. Next to the note about RightPlace Core, click Open Anyway and confirm. RightPlace Core will open normally from then on.
