Custom Field Column
Overview
Using Custom Field Columns, you can create flexible and dynamic columns on your Home Dashboard. These columns can display various types of information, such as text, badges, notes, or data fetched from WordPress.
1. Accessing Custom Fields
Open the Add Column panel.
Click the Custom Field tab.
Define a new column by entering a Header Name and selecting a Template.

1.1 Template Options
Empty from Scratch
All fields are blank. You define Field Type, Options, and Default Value manually.
Dev / Prod
Similar to Empty from Scratch, but with pre-defined badge values for quick setup:
e.g) value:label:color
dev: Development : yellow
prod: Production : green
staging: Staging : blue Short Note
Pre-selects Field Type as Textarea for quick note-taking setup.
2. Custom Field Inputs
When defining a custom field, you need to provide:
Header Name – The name displayed on the dashboard column
Saving Method – Where the data will be stored
Field Type – How the field is displayed
Value / Options – Default values or selectable options depending on the Field Type

2.1 Saving Method
Local
Saves data locally in RightPlace
None, except for standard inputs (Field Type, Options, Default Value)
WordPress Option
Saves data as a WordPress option
WordPress Option Name
Optional Read-Only checkbox
WordPress Filter / Action
Fetches/saves data via WordPress hooks
Filter Name (Read)
Action Name (Write)
Optional Read-Only checkbox

Single-line text input
Default value can be set

Textarea
Multi-line text input
Default value can be set

Select
Dropdown selection
Define options and default value

Radio
Single-choice radio button
Define options and default value

Multiple Checkbox
Multi-choice checkboxes
Define options and default values

Badge
Colored label
Define options (label, value, color) and default value

3. Quick Setup vs Manual Setup
Empty from Scratch– All fields must be defined manuallyDev / ProdandShort Note– Pre-filled templates for faster setup
You can still edit options and default values after selecting a template.
