Custom Field Column

Overview

Using Custom Field Columns, you can create flexible and dynamic columns on your Home Dashboard. These columns can display various types of information, such as text, badges, notes, or data fetched from WordPress.

1. Accessing Custom Fields

  1. Open the Add Column panel.

  2. Click the Custom Field tab.

  3. Define a new column by entering a Header Name and selecting a Template.

Description

Empty from Scratch

All fields are blank. You define Field Type, Options, and Default Value manually.

Dev / Prod

Similar to Empty from Scratch, but with pre-defined badge values for quick setup:

e.g) value:label:color

dev: Development : yellow  
prod: Production : green  
staging: Staging : blue  

Short Note

Pre-selects Field Type as Textarea for quick note-taking setup.

2. Custom Field Inputs

When defining a custom field, you need to provide:

  • Header Name – The name displayed on the dashboard column

  • Saving Method – Where the data will be stored

  • Field Type – How the field is displayed

  • Value / Options – Default values or selectable options depending on the Field Type

3. Quick Setup vs Manual Setup

  • Empty from Scratch – All fields must be defined manually

  • Dev / Prod and Short Note – Pre-filled templates for faster setup

Example 1: Environment Badge Column

  • Template: Dev / Prod

  • Header Name: Environment

  • Badge Options (value:label:color)

    dev: Development : yellow  
    prod: Production : green  
    staging: Staging : blue
