1.0.0-RC17
July 9, 2026
RightPlace Core lands on Windows, and global search gets a lot smarter.
What changed
RC17 is the first release where the Windows desktop app stands on equal footing: the built-in browser, applets, and installer issues that held it back are fixed. Global search (DeepDive) now understands multi-word and misspelled queries, reaches your Settings and Memory, and applets can publish their own records into it.

Windows
- Browser tabs no longer crash the app. Opening a browser tab could take the whole app down on Windows. Fixed.
- No more blank window at launch. The installed app could open as an empty transparent shell. It now loads normally.
- Applets load their files reliably. Applets such as the Image Editor failed to open with “Failed to fetch” on Windows. Fixed across every applet.
- The installer now ships all built-in applet bundles, including Shop, so fresh installs start complete.
Search
- Multi-word queries match across fields. Each word can hit the title, content, or path independently, so natural phrases find the right record.
- Typo tolerance. Misspelled queries like “pulgnis” still find “plugins”.
- Settings are searchable. Jump straight to any settings page from Home search or the command palette.
- Memory results with deep links. Search hits from Memory open the item directly in a detail view.
- The command palette searches everything. It now runs the same full-scope engine as Home search, with a cleaner, more readable results list.
- Applets can publish records into global search. The Resource SDK gains a search surface so any applet can make its records findable app-wide. WordPress is the first to use it.
Security
- The global search index is now encrypted at rest. Existing plaintext indexes are rebuilt automatically.
UI / UX
- Global chat panel. Open a chat surface from anywhere in the app.
- Prompt templates polish. Skills and Tools now switch with a segmented toggle.
Stages
- The task prompt template is now called Execute task, and the custom prompt got a clearer label.
Bug Fixes
- macOS: browser and terminal panes could turn invisible after an update, while the rest of the app looked fine. Fixed.
- Fixed reset-code handling during account recovery.
Applet changes
Open and edit .docx files in place, plus a DBML editor with a live ER diagram.
The Shop bundle now ships with the desktop installer on every platform.
Posts, pages, plugins, themes, users, and media now show up in global search.
